Practice Areas: Business Immigration, Family Immigration, and U.S. Citizenship
Lou is an attorney in the Business Immigration Department at Global Immigration Legal Team. She brings more than a decade of experience focused on business immigration. Lou began her career as an immigration paralegal and later served as Managing Attorney for a large IT consulting company. Since joining Global Immigration Legal Team in 2024, she has focused on helping individuals and corporate clients secure both temporary and permanent work authorization in the United States.
Lou advises corporate and individual clients on employment-based U.S. immigration law and policy. She helps clients develop practical strategies to obtain approvals across a wide range of immigration matters, including H-1B, L-1A/B, E, O, R, and TN visas. She also assists with permanent residence (green card) matters, including EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 and EB-4 petitions. In addition, Lou represents clients in responding to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and challenging unfavorable decisions, including successfully appealing USCIS/PERM denials.
Lou works primarily with clients in the technology and IT consulting sectors, including staffing and project-based consulting companies that rely on foreign national talent. She regularly partners with HR professionals, recruiting teams, and business managers to align immigration strategies with hiring needs and long-term workforce planning. Lou also represents professionals and executives across a variety of industries who seek to work and build their careers in the United States.
Lou has extensive in-house experience managing high-volume, complex immigration programs for U.S. employers. She has overseen all aspects of corporate immigration portfolios, from H-1B program design and cap strategy to L-1 and EB-1C planning for multinational managers and executives. She is especially known for her careful and thorough approach to compliance, including I-9, E-Verify, and Public Access File (PAF) obligations, as well as for her ability to translate evolving immigration regulations into clear, business-focused guidance.
Clients and colleagues value Lou as a steady, solutions-oriented advocate who combines deep technical knowledge with practical judgment. She is known for being accessible, detail-oriented, and transparent about risks and options, and for working collaboratively with clients to develop realistic paths forward, even in complex or time-sensitive cases.
Outside of the office, Lou enjoys staying connected to both Korean and U.S. communities. She has volunteered with Woori Center since 2024, participating in its legal clinic. She also serves as an advisor to the Philadelphia Peaceful Unification Advisory Council.
