Forrest Piver
Law Clerk
Forrest is currently a Law Clerk at the Global Immigration Legal Team, bringing over 5 years of experience as a senior paralegal to his current role. In his five years of high-caliber work as a paralegal, Forrest developed an expertise in employment-based filings with an emphasis on EB-1A, O-1A, L-1A and L-1B cases. He has also been involved in family-based green card applications, naturalization cases, immigrant and nonimmigrant visa issuances, and other niche and urgent cases as the need has arisen. In August 2025, Forrest commenced his J.D. program through Vermont Law and Graduate School. Through this background and his ongoing legal education, Forrest will continue to bridge the gap between high-level legal theory, and the practical, day-to-day realities of case management.
Forrest focuses on supporting the firm’s Business Immigration department, particularly on EB-1A, O-1A, L-1A and L-1B cases, through discussions with clients, collecting and assembling documents, drafting legal arguments and cover letters for filings, and helping the attorney prepare the clients for USCIS interviews or visa issuance matters at embassies and consulates abroad.
Having worked extensively with clients coming from an intersection of corporate entities with a wide variety of backgrounds, Forrest understands the specific operational challenges these industries face. He possesses a strong baseline knowledge of how these corporate clients operate and the level of service they expect. He has demonstrated a clear ability to apply that to clients from a range of backgrounds, and is dedicated to providing clear, actionable insights that help our corporate clients navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system.
Forrest possesses a comprehensive understanding of USCIS processes, systems and policy, developed over years of direct interaction with USCIS and studying their policy manual, spanning a range of immigration matters. This practical expertise, combined with his current legal studies, ensures that Forrest handles client matters with both procedural precision and analytical depth. He has made a point to cultivate personal relationships with many clients, something he believes is an integral part of getting them through these complex immigration matters.
Outside of the office, Forrest enjoys traveling the world, visiting with family and friends, cooking up a good meal, exploring new cocktail bars, and spending time outdoors, particularly hiking in the mountains.
