USCIS issued an August 5 policy alert that affects US naturalization applications and other immigration benefit requests. USCIS officers can now deny incomplete applications outright, without asking for missing documents first. A paperwork gap used to mean a follow-up request. Now it can mean a denial, with no second chance.
